Our London Colocation Hosting Facility offers:

• UPS and generator backed up power feeds from the data centre, with dual fed web power control to maximise resilience
• Dual 1Gb/s internet connections via separate switches in the rack multiply fed to separate core switches, routers and transit feeds via dual redundant links
• SNMP monitoring of usage for each switch port
• Supervised access to your server by prior arrangement, with access to build/test room
• Constant surveillance with recording
• Constant air conditioning ensuring stable temperature and humidity to help ensure reliably operation of servers.
• Smoke and fire detection systems with FM200 fire suppression

The Amsterdam facility offers:

• Web interface to control power to your server allowing reboots, etc.
• Supervised access to your server by prior arrangement
• Constant surveillance with recording
• Multiple redundant UPS and generator backup to ensure constant and reliable power
• Constant air conditioning ensuring stable temperature and humidity to help ensure reliably operation of servers.
• Smoke and fire detection systems with FM200 fire suppression
• 100Mb/s internet connection for reasonable usage.

Technical Requirements

• Must include suitable 19" rack fittings and rails - please ask for dimensions (note standard DELL rails are too long).
• Must have clearly visible and operational power LED and reset/power switches.
• Must be clearly labelled with your company name, and contact name + phone number.
• Must take standard IEC320 (BS30320) 10A 250V power connections.
• Must take standard RJ45 10/100/1000baseT ethernet connections.
• Must be configured to boot cleanly from power up with no intervention, even if powered down rather than clean shutdown.
• Must not be configured as a DHCP server or act in any way that could affect other customer machines on the same LAN. May be configured as a DHCP client to which we will aim to consistently allocate the same IP address
• Important: Must use only those IP addresses assigned, and no private (RFC1918) address or unnecessary broadcast traffic to be exposed to our LAN. Any traffic affecting our operations or other customer's servers can result in immediate disconnection of servers.

Extra Requirements for Amsterdam Hosting

• You must ship the server to us, and we will arrange shipping and installation in Amsterdam.
• All shipping costs are charged to you at cost.
• Any trips to Amsterdam for any reason in relation to your server will be charged at cost (travel, hotel if applicable) plus engineering time fees.
• We have remote web cam and phone and on-site staff that can do most minor jobs if necessary, e.g. changing hot-swap disks.
• We recommend using hot swap disks and RAID to allow simple shipping of replacement disks in the event of problems rather than sending an engineer
• All servers are on a power control switch for which you will have a username and password
• The service is ONLY available to UK VAT registered customers and you must provide your VAT number. We have yet to receive clarification from HMR&C regarding VAT invoicing for a Dutch service and you may find that your invoices have no VAT depending on their ruling - by ensuring only VAT registered customers any such ruling will not have any overall effect on your costs.
