We are, in many cases, able to rebuild databases from scratch from data that is displayed on your existing website or through your administration section even if your previous web development company are being 'difficult' in handing over your data.

Examples

Client A runs a successful photography business. They had hired an in-house development team, and spent nine months attempting to build a system to sell print products based on their photography library as a franchise system to tie into other websites. The system did not work and key staff had left.

We were able to rebuild the system virtually from scratch (only about 10% of the original code remained) in under two months. At the same time we were also able to prove to their satisfaction that the MySQL database performed well enough for this project that they were able to abandon their reliance on the Oracle database system, saving more in future software licence fees than our fees for doing the development work.

Client B is a small company that came to us for a quotation on their website. We did not win the job to start with as we were not the cheapest bidder. Nearly one year later, they came back to us to say the developers they had chosen, a company in India, had gone out of business and had not been able to complete their project. We were able to take what the Indian company had developed for the design and structure for the site and add our own code and database to complete this project.
